Add Your MP3 Root Folder
The first step is to tell Find My Tunes where your music library lives on your computer.
What You Need to Know
Select Your Root Music Folder
Click "Add Folder" and navigate to the main directory where you store your MP3 files. The software will automatically scan this folder and all subfolders within it.
Multiple Folders Supported
Have music spread across different locations? No problem! You can add multiple root folders, and Find My Tunes will include all of them in your searchable database.
⏱️ First Scan Takes Longer
The initial database build will take some time since the software is analyzing every MP3 file from scratch, reading metadata, and building your searchable library.
⚡ Future Scans Are Fast
After the first scan, subsequent database refreshes are much quicker. The software only looks for new files you've added and removes any files that have been deleted since your last session.
